About Department

  • Home Economics was started in 1965 as an optional subject during P.U.C. and grew to Degree and Post Graduate level.
  • It was due to keen efforts of late Smt. Mukherjee [Principal] and Smt. Mahajani [H.O.D] who ensured that the stream is well equipped with all requisite facilities in Laboratory so as to impart the best of skills.
  • The present strength has since its inception grown to 465
  • Highly qualified faculty members having NET/SET/Ph.D/M.Phil degrees work jointly as a strong
  • Attention is given to each and every student in gaining knowledge and proficiency in the subject.
