About Department

Department of Marathi was established with :

Arts faculty in 1966

Commerce faculty in 1966

Science faculty in 2010

Post Graduation Degree in 2009

We have committed to provide excellent standard through quality education with team spirit, our students would be unable to excel in all values of life and become good citizens. We continuously try to improve the system and services to satisfy the students, parents and society.

Goals

To establish a socio-culture Hub with special reference to Akola District

To spread & broadcast Marathi Language & culture thought different Programme

To establish Research Center for Marathi Language & culture Particularly on Marathi Literature , Traditional Marathi regional Language, Commercial & applied Marathi

Vision :-

Mission:-

Fight against invasion on Marathi Literature & Culture in the age of Globalization,.

Conservation of Marathi Language & literature.

Strengthen research activity.

Broadcasting & popularization of Marathi language & culture through various means like Media, Cinema, TV, Radio, Books, etc .

Objectives:-

To establish Marathi Study & Research Center.

To organize workshops for aspiring-poets, writers & dramatists.

To Preserve & inculcate the Marathi folk culture.

To frame a dictionary of dialects of Marathi.

To organize lectures to develop basic skills of applied Marathi.

To use ICT for the effective teaching – learning.

To engage educational & social activities to create awareness in research.

To preserve and nourish various ancient languages through which Marathi language has been evolved.
